The Highland Baptist Young at Heart is our ministry to senior adults as both a part of the church membership and community outreach. The purpose is to provide senior members and non-members of Highland with a Christian environment in which to meet; opportunities to participate in Christian social and learning activities; opportunities to serve and glorify God; as well as, encouragement to senior adults to contribute their talents and abilities to church endeavors. 

 

The Young at Heart meet once a month on the first Saturday morning for breakfast at 8:30am and is open to those 55 years of age and older.  Additional social activities may include luncheons, day or overnight trips, benevolent acts for fellow members in need, service projects such as canned goods drive for local food banks, and other supportive endeavors for church-sponsored projects.  The goal is always to combine praise of God with social and worthwhile activities, fun and laughter.
